Happy November everyone!! For this month I wanted to post a list of things I’m thankful for. Since thanksgiving is a time to remember all the good things in life I wanted to start early!
Full transparency, my mental health hasn’t been great recently, and that’s okay. At first I was going to do a list of 100 things I am thankful for, and while I do think that is very possible, I was overwhelmed with the idea when I actually tried to do it. In all honesty I wasn’t sure I could find even 25 things to list due to the headspace I’ve been in. With this in mind, I then decided I would list as many things that I could come up with in one sitting. So when I sat down to write this post, I was quickly amazed by how easily things came to me. I came up with a lot more things than I initially thought I could hence why I have ended it at 52 which is kind of a random number. Below is the list I created in less than 20 minutes of a ton of stuff that makes me smile, are positives in my life, and I’m grateful for. Some are more serious things, others are funny and little things I take for granted at times. In general, it’s not always about the big things, but instead we must appreciate the little blessings in life. After writing this post I will be keeping my list open the rest of this month and adding things as they come to me. This was therapeutic for me and gave me a some motivation to finish this semester strong. If you are struggling this season I strongly suggest starting your own list, and even if you’re not this can be a great activity to reflect on all the good in your life.
